Jim Wilmott Chief Technical Officer

Jim Wilmott has over 30 years of experience in the creative design, development and manufacture of new products for the health and personal care industry. He has held positions with Lever Brothers, Bristol-Myers, Avon and DowBrands. Jim was Vice President of Product Development for Mary Kay, Vice President of Consumer Products for Collaborative Laboratories, Executive Director of Global Skin Care for Chanel, and, most recently, Sr. Vice President of R&D and Chief Technical Officer for the Outsourcing Services Group.

Jim has traveled extensively in Asia, Australia and Europe, and is familiar with customs and personal care needs of these cultures. He has in depth knowledge of current and emerging marketing and technology trends worldwide. He has authored over 25 patent applications and has received 11 patents for the introduction of innovative technology in the personal care market.

Jim received a Bachelors degree in Biology and Chemistry from Lehigh University, a Masters degree in Organic Chemistry from Rutgers University and conducted three years of additional research as a doctoral candidate in Biochemistry at Rutgers University.

 


Karen Young Chief Marketing Officer

Before opening The Young Group in 1999 with offices in NY and Paris, Karen was Vice President of Marketing & Advertising for Lancôme, where she was also responsible for product development and sales promotion. Before joining Lancôme, she spent seventeen years at Estée Lauder, in a variety of executive positions, including Executive Director of Color Cosmetics.

Karen has worked extensively in all categories of the cosmetic industry worldwide. She developed the color cosmetic line for Kevyn Aucoin, as well as skin care concepts and products for Almay, Bath and Body Works, Neutrogena, Vichy and Canyon Ranch. She has worked on numerous established brands, including Christian Dior Beauté, Shiseido, Parfums Givenchy, Avon, The Blue Lagoon and 3M Products.

Karen is an adjunct professor at The Fashion Institute of Technology, teaching product development in the Master's Degree program in Cosmetic & Fragrance Marketing and Management.

 

Michael Ross Director of Research and Development

Michael Ross has over 12 years of experience in the creative design, development and manufacture of new products for the health and personal care industry. He has a strong background in raw material product development, nanotechnology and Regulatory Affairs.

He was previously Manager of Development Services for Collaborative Laboratories, Senior Scientist at Chanel, and most recently the Director of R&D/Director of Regulatory and Safety for Distinctive Cosmetic Ingredients, LLC.

Michael received a Bachelors degree in Biology from The State University of New York at Oswego, has post-graduate credits towards an MBA from The State University of New York at Stony Brook, and has completed numerous Professional Advancement Courses within the Personal Care Industry.

 

Jill O'Neill Marketing Director

Jill O'Neill has spent over 17 years on the contract manufacturing side of the beauty business. Her breadth of knowledge and experience covers the entire process from product concept to delivery. Jill has worked with dozens of brands in multiple channels of distribution, covering all categories of personal care product.

As Marketing Product Director at Outsourcing Services Group, Jill led Marketing and New Product Development for OSG companies, including Kolmar Port Jervis, NY & Canada, Aerosol Services in California, Acupac Packaging in New Jersey and Piedmont Laboratories in Georgia. Her expertise includes new product concepts and development, trend tracking, package development and in depth knowledge of the manufacturing process.

Jill has spent many years developing customer strategies using a combination of need gap analysis, constant market surveillance and insights into trend forecasting.

 

Emily O'Neill Sales Manager

We are pleased to introduce the newest member of the team.

Emily has a background in product development and product sales.
Her BS in Cosmetic & Fragrance Marketing is from FIT.

She will handle the sales effort for the eastern US.
